“This day has been 46 years in the making. Many successes, many failures in life, in
relationships. Shaping us to be who we are right now.” It’s FINALLY Time and the
only way IN is to WIN! They call it a SECRET SHOW for a reason.
Lets take a look back for a moment. Jeremiah, a KNIX listener, went with his then-
girlfriend to a last-minute ticket stop to try and win tickets for the secret show.
They approached the table and talked to the host of KNIX, which was Double-L.
“Hi, I’m Michelle; this is my boyfriend Jeremiah, our dog’s name is Tobi Keith and
he has a crush on you.” Double-L said “Your Dog or Your Boyfriend?” All of them
laughed, meanwhile, Jeremiah albeit a little more nervously. Jeremiah and his
then-girlfriend Michelle won the tickets to that show. After that, they stayed in
touch with Double-L.
As fate would have it, Jeremiah and Michelle broke up. A new relationship
blossomed and Jeremiah started dating Teresa. Over the radio, Double-L played a
song request to Jeremiah from Teresa on his birthday. When that relationship did
not work out, Double-L (Lois) tried to set Jeremiah up with a few of her friends.
She wanted to keep him in her circle and have someone reap the benefits,
because he is such a good man. Luckily, that did not work out!
Love happens when we least expect it. Often meeting or seeing your person many
times before you get together is not cliché. In fact, it’s real life. Back in 2012,
Jeremiah and Lois “met” and just did not know it yet. Is it fate? Is it serendipity? Is
it part of the plan?
Jeremiah invited Lois to Sun Valley Community Church. As Jeremiah prayed for
Lois’ marriage along with her, the marriage had been struggling for some time.
He admitted to her, he secretly hoped it did not work out because he would date
the #*$! out of her.“
Attending a concert together, the day started out normal and with them being
great friends. Then something shifted. It was on August 27, at a Dierks Bentley
concert, when they realized this was “the one” for them. Lois relentlessly tried so
many times to set Jeremiah up with her friends. As fate would have it, this
moment was several years in the making. Then on this day, FINALLY, “God was like,
nah girl, I made him just for you.”
Fast forward a few years… and here they are. That special day in August, Jeremiah
said “I’m gonna marry that girl someday - get ready for it!”
With zero clue, Lois had no IDEA a proposal was happening. A normal family game
night, Olive Garden catering, freshly manicured hands, brown hair instead of her
trademark purple, wearing a blue shirt that said, “LET THE BUFFALO ROAM,” and
the Hidden Valley Ranch bottle in the background, made for a perfect game
night! Meanwhile, Jeremiah got a beard-trim, etc. The man was prepped and
ready!
